CNC OPERATOR WITH SET UP AND TROUBLESHOOTINGSHIFTS : 1ST AND 2ND SHIFTWAGE : $22-$26 / HOURLOCATION : JANESVILLE WI AREAPosition OverviewAs a CNC Operator you will set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (often lathes) to produce metal parts to specification. You’ll be working within a precision manufacturing environment where accuracy, quality, and safety are key. Key Responsibilities
- Read setup sheets, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine required dimensions and machining sequence.
- Set up CNC machines : load fixtures / work-pieces, install cutting tools, secure parts, adjust machine settings (speeds, feeds, offsets).
- Operate the machine during production, monitor cycles, and detect issues such as tool wear or part inconsistencies.
- Perform in-process inspection : measure workpieces with calipers, micrometers, gauges to verify conformance to specs.
- Maintain machine / work area : keep it clean, follow 5S and safety protocols, document operations and production output.
- Other duties as assigned (may include assisting maintenance, changing tools, some manual operations).
Qualifications & Skills
