About the Role

As the Assistant Fund Controller, you'll be a key player in the finance team, working closely with the Principal of Finance, CFO, fund administrators, and portfolio company stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone with a blend of public and private accounting experience-particularly in VC or PE environments-who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and review the work of outsourced fund administrators.
• Maintain general ledgers and manage monthly close processes, including reconciliations of bank, intercompany, investment, and partners' capital accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and quarterly investor reporting packages, including allocations and investment roll forwards.
• Support quarterly valuations, annual audits, and tax-related reviews (K-1s, Forms 1042 / 8804, federal / state filings).
• Manage capital calls and distributions.
• Assist with SEC compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with FP& A on portfolio dashboards and strategic initiatives.
