At Regions, the Bank Operations Levy/Garnishment Specialist processes claims from third parties on customer funds to prevent liability. Primary responsibilities include examining court documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and legal sufficiency, contacting agencies and/or attorneys regarding documents that do not comply with statutes or procedures, reviewing bank files to determine if a customer has an account that can be attached, initiating hold or account restrictions as required, updating case information into the database including phone conversations and ensuring all documents are archived, initiating case closing as appropriate, providing hard copy answers and remits official checks to courts/agencies, producing and mailing required customer notifications, collecting legal processing fees where allowed, and may provide guidance to less experienced associates.
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
High School Diploma or GED, Two (2) years of operations or related experience. Preferences include previous legal experience and experience working with databases.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, strong organization skills, strong time management skills. Proximity to Hoover, AL is required. This is not a remote position.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position. Job Range Target: Minimum: $40,000.00 USD Median: $48,310.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: This job is not incentive eligible.
