WE are looking for a Quality Control Technician / UL 508A MTR to join our team. CMA is a UL508A certified electrical panel shop where we build OEM electrical panels for a wide variety of customers and industries. The Quality Control Technician / UL508A MTR is accountable for achieving quality goals, maintenance records of calibrated tools, staying up to date with UL standards, scheduling efficiencies and the oversight of quality to the department supervisor weekly.

This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position offering a complete benefits package, including PTO, 401K with a company match, health, dental and vision insurance.

Reports to : Production Manager

Essential Job Functions :

• Working from complex blueprints and electrical schematics / diagrams perform final inspection and testing of control systems to customer and regulatory requirements.
• Testing Energized Electrical Control Panels
• The ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and efficiency while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses analytical and troubleshooting abilities in order to identify and correct the root cause of product test failures.
• Provides technical assistance to the Quality Control department.
• Works closely with Design and Manufacturing Engineering personnel to establish documentation required for the manufacture of quality products.
• Interact with other department heads and management to resolve issues that may arise during the Inspection / Test process.
• Provide training to lower-level Inspectors as well as production personnel to minimize defects and product repairs.
• Attend meetings as required and implement any action items that may be assigned by management.
• Complete projects that may be assigned to assist with process improvements and the Quality Management System.
• Maintain accurate records regarding tested products.
• Assist in the design and manufacture of test fixtures.
• Assist with documenting test procedures.
