Internship Opportunity With California State Senate

Basic functions include general office duties under the direct supervision of the District Director, including monitoring and responding to the public inbox for the Member. Applicants must be organized, detailed, and able to work well with others.
Duties include assisting with constituent services and casework as needed in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Position qualifications include strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and PCs, and familiarity with legislative culture and process is preferred.
This position is located in San Diego, CA and requires in-person attendance. The Senate's core business hours are 9 : 00 a.m. 5 : 00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, scheduling for interns may need to be more flexible depending on the office needs. Salary is $20 per hour. No benefits provided with this classification.
