Specimen Processor

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor to support our client's medical facility in Lewisville, TX. This is a 4+ months with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Title: Specimen Processor

Location:Lewisville, TX 75067

Pay Rate: $17.80/hr. on W2.

Shift: Tues-Sat 9:30-6:00 CST

Duration: 4+ months

*Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Overview:

The SPT I provides general support in the Specimen Processing Department, performing tasks such as data entry, sorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, and specimen delivery. The role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry (min. 6,000 keystrokes/hour) with accuracy and speed
• Handle specimen presort, accessioning (A-station), and delivery to labs
• Process specimens (centrifuging, aliquoting, imaging/microfilming)
• Adhere to safety protocols and compliance regulations
• Maintain clean work area and contribute to team productivity
• Communicate effectively with team and support staff

Work Environment:

• Production-focused with emphasis on quality and turnaround time
• Exposure to biohazard materials; PPE and safety compliance required
• Physical demandsWalking throughout the shift; lifting up to 25 lbs

Qualifications:

• EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent
  
• SkillsBasic computer proficiency; medical/lab knowledge preferred
  
• ExperienceNo prior experience required, but lab or healthcare background is a plus
