Wellness Nurse

Part time 16 hours per week

The Wellness Nurse provides direct care daily and and ensures that residents and their families receive exceptionally good individualized care in a compassionate atmosphere that recognizes individuals' needs and rights. He/she puts individualized resident service first in the context of a team approach to delivery of both nursing and non-nursing services, and promotes this goal actively with all staff.

He/she is responsible for assuring that resident care assistants follow established Tockwotton policies and procedures, and shares responsibility for quality assurance within the nursing program, and for prompt reporting of threats to resident health or welfare.

He/she also serves as a member of the Tockwotton nursing team and participates in multi-disciplinary efforts to improve the operation and services of Tockwotton Home as a whole.

Coordinates with the Dining Service staff to ensure residents proper diets, and with the Activity Director to assure that recreational and exercise opportunities appropriate to the abilities of individual residents are made available.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Must be a licensed registered nurse or practical nurse
• 1-3 years of experience in a Assisted Living
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Must be able to meet minimum physical requirements as required by community policies
• Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must enjoy working with the senior community
• COVID-19 Vaccine Required
