Petroleum Installer III
Oversee responsible, safe, and efficient construction operations as the senior installer on a job site. Provide direction and training to lower-level Installers, subcontractors and other Seneca personnel in the field.
What You'll Do :
50% : Leads Jobs : Provides direction to junior installers on each job site in order to meet job timelines. Plans, reviews and develops a layout of each job assignment as directed. Reviews project status with senior installers, supervisors, consultants and project managers on a regular basis. Completes all paper work necessary for completion of each job and makes mobile-based job updates using mobile construction applications. Controls cost by minimizing wasted resources such as materials, manpower, time, etc.
25% : Install tanks, piping and other equipment and tests them after installation. Removes and disposes of old equipment. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Operate various power tools, skid loaders, air compressors, forklift, and other related tools and equipment in performing described duties.
15% : Provide direction and training to lower-level installers on each job site in order to meet job timelines. Assist employees in the completion of daily tasks such as site cleanliness, travel reimbursement reporting, equipment maintenance, and navigating the company's various systems.
5% : Maintain safe operations on every job site by directing installer team and subcontractors. Set verbal safety expectations for all personnel on and off site and leads by example. Conduct toolbox talks and tailgate talks daily and a pre-job safety brief to all installers and subcontractors on site, effectively setting expectations for safety.
5% : Other duties as assigned.
Working Hazards : Works in an environment with potential exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, equipment movement dangers, confined spaces, vibrations, dangerous chemical / solvents, electrical shock, and inclement temperature extremes.
Physical / Mental Exertion : Ability to perform heavy physical labor exerting up to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis and up to 50 pounds of force on a frequent basis performing such tasks as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
What We're Looking For :
Education : Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience : 4+ years of experience in the petroleum installation field required.
Licenses / Certifications : HAZWOPER 40 certification, State-issued CDL-A, State-issued UST installer license required prior to hiring.
Technical Abilities : Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Able to perform manual labor, heavy equipment inspection and operation and basic administrative tasks using mobile devices.
Autonomy / Direction : Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Train and direct the activities of lower level Installers and is required to make quick decisions in the field without management assistance. Must have the ability to travel overnight over 50%.
Tools and Equipment : Ability to perform manual construction work and equipment operation as described. Knowledge and experience with computer programs (ProCore, Outlook).
