ICU Nursing Job Details

Location : Boise, Idaho (83712) – Idaho healthcare jobs

Facility Setting : Acute Care – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 10, 2025

End Date : February 9, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00pm – 7 : 30am), every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680 - $1800

Floating : May float to Meridian Medical Center, Nampa Medical Center, and other ICUs in the Valley; occasional 1 : 1 sitter assignments

Orientation : 1-2 shifts

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license – Idaho or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a similar or larger hospital setting

Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Proficient in titrating critical drips (Dopamine, Epinephrine, Norepinephrine, Cardene, Nitro, Neosynephrine, Vasopressin, Diltiazem, Insulin, Esmolol)

Experience with Epic EMR charting system preferred

Ability to monitor and interpret cardiac strips

Willingness to float to other units as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in SICU / MICU settings

Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2

Monitor, titrate, and administer critical care medications and drips

Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and CNAs

Float to other ICUs or serve as a 1 : 1 sitter when required

Document patient care using Epic EMR

Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional development
