Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : Operating Room / Circulate Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day w / Call Hours per Shift : 36 Experience : Minimum 3 years License : Current RN license Certifications : BLS and ACLS Must-Have : Experience in perioperative nursing Description : The Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative nursing practice performs nursing activities in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the patient’s surgical experience. They will work to ensure the provision of quality care of surgical patients through the utilization of the nursing process, established standards of care, policies, and procedures. The perioperative nurse acts as the patient advocate and is responsible for the direction and supervision of any personnel assigned to them. The RN is responsible to the Unit Nurse Manager, House Supervisor, or RN Team Leader. This position includes on-call rotation. Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated. Shift is Monday to Friday, from 06 : 30 to 17 : 00. Holiday coverage is required.
