Quality Assurance Inspector ABOUT THE JOB : Become part of a growing business in the exciting construction industry. Advanced Systems, Inc. of Suncoast is one of Tampa Bay’s Premier Flooring Vendors, servicing the Residential and Commercial construction industry with all of their flooring needs since 1990. Advanced Systems services the greater Tampa Bay and Sarasota / Bradenton Areas. The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that customers are provided with quality installations and receive complete customer satisfaction. This is a fully trainable position, if you are willing to learn or try something new. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Inspect new installations of tile, carpet and wood for quality and correctness. Confirm installation conforms to all industry standards, plans, customer selections and specifications. To include quantities, correct locations, orientations, colors, etc. Complete Quality Control Checklist on each completed job installation. Produce punch list / work order for any items needing further attention; to address quality or correctness. Produce work orders when requested by customer due to damage, repairs, customer error, etc. Turn in orders for any materials needed to accomplish completion of punch list / work order. Track distribution through completion of punch list / work order to ensure timely completion. Approve installer completions notices after all punch list / work order work is completed if generated during the Quality Control Walk. Proactively look for possible issues in prior trades work (by others) that may need to be addressed or in the processes, materials or workmanship of the company. Make minor repairs onsite as deemed necessary for critical timeline items. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all potential and existing customers. Stay abreast of industry standards, code changes, customer specification changes, etc. Maintain and improve your general knowledge of industry best practices, products and procedures by attending trade shows, continuing education, seminars, etc. Build and maintain installation SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) books for installation crews. Pick up and delivery materials from suppliers to job sites as needed. Conform to appropriate safety rules, procedures, safe and proper use of equipment and enforce compliance regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned. Current coverage area includes Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Hernando, Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Corporate Office located in Tampa, FL. REQUIRED SKILLS : High School Diploma or GED Required General construction knowledge experience is preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Platform (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word) Must be able to compose and respond to emails promptly and professionally. Must have a general knowledge of residential and commercial construction and the components required to construct them. Must be able to multi task and meet deadlines, high level of organization required. Produce and maintain paperwork or logs as required. Experience with, or technical ability to, perform field measures. Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with multiple interruptions / distractions. Need to possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Always Display a cooperative attitude. Must have strong customer service skills. Interact with all levels of internal team members and external customers in a professional and supportive manner. Valid drivers license and excellent driving record. Must pass drug screening and background check. Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, climb multiple flights of stairs, walk and drive for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. BENEFICIAL SKILLS : Knowledge of all flooring components and types (ie.
