A company is looking for a Tax Reporting Specialist to manage client tax reporting information and ensure compliance with IRS regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Review nonresident alien account documentation and update account information based on IRS reporting requirements
Prepare customer year-end IRS Forms including 1099, 1099R, 5498, and 1042-S
Review and reconcile cost basis reporting for reportable accounts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
3+ years' experience with tax and cost basis reporting in the brokerage industry
Ability to read and understand 1099 forms
Knowledge of corporate actions and financial processing
Understanding of Phase3, Wall Street Concepts, GainsKeeper, and / or DTCC is beneficial
