Job Title : Machine Builder
1st shift (flexible hours) - $28-$35
Job Description
This position is responsible for assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical / electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components for automated equipment.
Responsibilities
Build sub-assemblies and assemble machines using documentation such as SolidWorks models of Mechanical Parts and Assembly Drawings, Pneumatic Diagrams, and / or Electrical Schematics.
Assist in machine power-up, verify input / output, and basic functionality.
Collaborate with team members to debug machines, correct problems, and verify appropriate functionality.
Assist in the testing and tear down (shipping prep) of packaging machinery.
Work with team members to create and update project documentation.
Perform basic part fabrication and modification.
Verify fit and function of parts as well as completion and function of assemblies.
Use equipment such as hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, grinding / sanding / polishing tools, lathes, mills, hydraulic press, drill press, and fork trucks.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Experience in machine building, wiring, and fabrication.
Ability to read assembly prints and electrical schematics.

Work in a small shop with about 10 employees, where collaboration and camaraderie are key. The use of various equipment and tools is essential, and the environment is conducive to hands-on learning and team-oriented projects.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00 / hr.
