The academic administrator directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counseling activities of the student by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation, development, and coordination activities;
- As needed, researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards;
- Manages teaching and administrative staff; manages master and lead teachers and programs;
- Helps articulate the schools mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders have a common understanding and are positioned to work cooperatively in order to achieve desired results; utilizes / relies heavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support a predominantly virtual / remote work environment;
- Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school;
- Coordinates with teacher and K12 enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals;
- Ensures that the school is meeting the needs of students while complying with local, state, and federal laws, including laws pertaining to special education;
- Develops and oversees implementation of the schools academic improvement plan
Minimum required qualifications :
Masters degree in business, education or related field of study ANDFive (5) years of educational experience ANDOne (1) year of supervisory experience OREquivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to clear required background checkOther required qualifications :
Demonstrable leadership, organizational and time management skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMicrosoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); web proficiency.Ability to travel 20% of the timeExperience as an on-line / virtual educatorState license as a school administratorCompensation & benefits : Stride, Inc. considers a persons education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the positions work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employees salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the positions level and expected contribution, and the employees benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
We anticipate the salary range to be $38,097.60 - $72,000.00. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individuals compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
