Job Description

About the Company :

Mission Microwave Technologies was founded in 2014 to revolutionize the next generation of Solid-State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) and Block Upconverters (BUCs). We utilize advanced GaN transistors, unique power combining technology, and novel full-system designs to create the industry’s most efficient, lightweight, and compact high-power SSPAs.

Our management team has more than 100 years of combined experience supplying high-performance, high-reliability SSPAs to commercial, military, and space customers. We’ve achieved significant growth in only 10 years and are currently owned by a private equity firm.

We are proud to be listed as #23 in Fortune's Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production, and have been certified as a Great Place to Work since 2022.

Purpose / Summary :

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and sustainment of high-reliability RF electronic hardware used in defense, aerospace, and mission-critical applications. This role owns electrical design execution from concept through production and ensures products meet stringent performance, quality, and compliance requirements.

The Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in delivering robust, repeatable designs that align with Mission Microwave’s commitment to technical excellence, manufacturability, and long-term program success.

  • Manufacturing & Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure designs are buildable, repeatable, and production-ready
  • Investigate, evaluate, and qualify components for Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Support production ramp, yield improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes
  • Quality, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable IPC, MIL-STD, ISO, and AS standards
  • Support internal and external audits as required
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and revision control

  • At Mission Microwave, you don’t just take a job; you step into a mission that matters. We design and build world-class RF and microwave solutions that power the technologies behind defense, space, and next-generation communications, and we do it with precision, purpose, and pride. Here, your ideas are heard, your expertise is trusted, and your impact is visible from the first design review to the moment our products perform in the most demanding environments on Earth and beyond. You’ll work alongside intelligent, driven people who care deeply about craftsmanship, collaboration, and doing the right thing, in a culture that values growth, integrity, and human connection as much as technical excellence. If you’re looking for a place where your work truly matters, where you can stretch, learn, and build something extraordinary with a team that has your back, Mission Microwave is where your next chapter begins.
