Field Civil Engineer II – Roxboro, NC Location : Roxboro, NC Type : 6-Month Contract-to-Direct (Potential for Permanent Hire) Pay Range : $38.46 – $46.01 / hour (Depending on Experience) Per Diem : $105 / day Schedule : Aligned with Project Needs Start Date : ASAP Overview We’re seeking an experienced Field Civil Engineer II to support major industrial and infrastructure projects across the process, energy, and chemical sectors. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact engineering initiatives while working closely with project management and multi-discipline engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Support Senior Project Manager in planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of assigned projects. Monitor project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. Define scopes of work, develop budgets and schedules, and implement necessary adjustments throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate and review multidisciplinary engineering deliverables for quality, consistency, and technical accuracy. Assist with cost estimates, contract modifications, and change management documentation. Oversee quality control procedures for drawings, reports, and other project documentation. Prepare and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates. Collaborate with global engineering teams to align deliverables and meet client expectations. Evaluate performance metrics and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity. Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required. 5–12 years of relevant engineering experience within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Renewable Energy sectors. Proven experience as a Project Engineer or in a multi-discipline project environment. Familiarity with working alongside global or remote engineering centers. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. Physical & Work Environment May involve site visits to active industrial or construction environments. Must be able to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, boots, etc.) and work safely around heavy equipment and active operations.
