Hospitalist opening in Southwest Michigan Located in the vibrant communities of St. Joseph and Niles, MI Position Details - Specialty : Hospitalist - Practice Type : Full-time, hospital-employed position - Clinical Scope : - Provide 24 / 7 inpatient coverage at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital St. Joseph and Corewell Health Niles Hospital - Block schedule : Seven (7) consecutive days on followed by seven (7) days off - Shifts : 8 : 00am to 8 : 00pm, and 8 : 00pm to 8 : 00am - Team includes adult medicine physicians, advanced practitioners, and dedicated nocturnists - Procedures available but not required (no intubation or vent management) - Utilize Epic electronic health record for seamless documentation - Collaborate with sub-specialists and work within a closed 18-bed ICU and 12-bed progressive care unit with 24 / 7 intensivist coverage Highlights - Competitive market-based compensation - Comprehensive health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement benefits - CME allowance and relocation assistance - Supportive team environment with a variety of sub-specialists for collaboration - Opportunity to work in a teaching hospital with robust academic affiliations Qualifications - Board Eligible / Board Certified in Internal Medicine - Medical Degree (MD / DO) with licensure in Michigan - Strong patient-centered, team-oriented approach Community Details - Location : Southwest Michigan, including St. Joseph and Niles - Beautiful lakeside communities offering natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and a vibrant downtown - Excellent schools, family-friendly amenities, and a welcoming community - Proximity to Lake Michigan for water sports, fishing, and breathtaking views About the Health System - Comprehensive health system dedicated to high-quality, patient-centered care - Teaching hospital offering residencies in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine - Affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine - Part of a $14 billion enterprise with award-winning health plans and a strong emphasis on education and mentorship
