Job Title : Material Tech Job Description

Operate various forklifts including sit down, tugger, and HiLo in a dynamic warehousing and shipping environment. Organize and stock materials to meet warehousing requirements, ensuring inventory control in a timely manner. Utilize electronic equipment to pick and store materials as needed and escalate any scanning issues to your supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts in a fast-paced environment.
• Organize, stock, and control inventory efficiently.
• Use electronic equipment to pick and store materials.
• Escalate scan faults to your supervisor.
• Meet timing requirements for material processing.
• Store materials in designated locations.
• Maintain storage height standards.
• Sort and process dunnage for efficient storage.
• Count and record dunnage accurately.
• Ensure stable stacking of materials.
• Report any container degradation to management.
• Maintain safe access to doorways and walkways.
• Adhere to all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Follow safety standards for dock safety and driving.
• Perform pre-operations checklists and report findings.
• Support plant-wide material organization and housekeeping.
• Adhere to FIFO guidelines for material rotation.
• Participate in inventories and material reorganization.
• Maintain powered industrial truck certification.
• Bail and store cardboard appropriately, enforcing recycling programs.
• Operate necessary electronic equipment like scanners and tablets.
• Document all activities as required.
• Adhere to emergency evacuation guidelines.
• Report accidents or property damage immediately.

Pay and Benefits
