Chief Building Engineer

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Chief Building Engineer position include :

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance; office property experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of RTUs, gas reheats, BMS systems, heat exchangers, fire alarms, and chillers
• Manage daily operations of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple buildings
• Coordinate and oversee on-site contractors, ensuring minimal disruption and high-quality service
• Perform and supervise routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing and electrical repairs
• Operate and maintain web-based BMS and ensure energy efficiency across systems
• Respond to tenant requests, including after-hours emergencies, in a timely and professional manner
• Assist property management with project bidding, contractor follow-ups, and progress monitoring

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
