Campus Patrol (On Call - All Shifts)

Position Summary :

The Campus Patrol is responsible for the general safety of the campus which includes making rounds in order to monitor the campus security services, check automobiles, apartments, other buildings, grounds, etc. The Campus Patrol checks visitors and residents in and out of community entrance and parking, alerts law enforcement of suspicious circumstances, and transports residents on campus. The Campus Patrol is to be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Position Responsibilities include :

A. Maintains efficient record-keeping systems of all patrol checks.

B. Makes campus rounds on a routine basis to monitor safety / security services in place.

C. Makes vacation checks for residents on vacation.

D. Routinely makes safety checks of the residents' automobiles and the parking lot.

E. Alerts law enforcement of suspicious situations.

F. Responds to requests for special residential security checks.

G. Responds in an appropriate manner in emergency situations.

H. Monitors the safety / security measures in place on the campus including, but not limited to, surveillance cameras.

Qualifications

Education :

High school diploma or equivalent G.E.D. preferred.

Training and Experience :

First aid training required.

Job Knowledge :

Basic safety knowledge and writing skills for record-keeping required.
