Lumber Handler / Forklift Operator

Position Overview :

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Lumber Handler / Forklift Operator to join our yard operations team. The ideal candidate has experience working with lumber, operating forklifts, and maintaining a clean and organized yard.

Responsibilities :

  • Load and unload lumber and plywood using a forklift or by hand
  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders accurately
  • Inspect and organize lumber inventory
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient yard environment
  • Assist with receiving, shipping, and general yard duties
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a lumber yard, warehouse, or similar environment preferred
  • Able to tally lumber and convert BFT to LFT
  • To recognize different species of lumber
  • Identify different grades of lumber
  • Valid forklift certification (or willingness to be trained / certified)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
  • Bilingual preferred but not a must

    • Schedule :

    Full-time, Monday–Friday (occasional Saturdays as needed)

    Compensation :

    Competitive hourly pay based on experience, with opportunities for growth and overtime. Benefits available after 90 days.
