JOB TITLE : Mammography Technician (PRN)

LOCATION : Koreatown, Los Angeles / Buena Park / Fullerton

MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST REQUIREMENTS :

• License / Certification - please do not apply if you do not have these!
• Currently California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Mammography and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Education : Successful completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
• Experience : Minimum one (2) year of experience as a radiologic technologist.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience : Minimum 2 year experience as a mammography technologist.

JOB SUMMARY :

Performs screening, diagnostic and interventional mammography procedures.

Operates mammography equipment & Develops films and coordinates patient care with other patient services.

Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment / devices as appropriate.

Experience on GE 3D Pristina Mammography Equipment preferable.

Position patients, using immobilization when necessary. Calculate exposure factors.

Perform the quality control functions related to mammography including but not limited to initial set-up and certification of equipment, preventive maintenance and ensuring accuracy of digital images by testing and other QA measures as appropriate.

Evaluate mammography images for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.

Explain procedures to patients.

electronic charting and / or paperwork for transmission and interpretation.

Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data.

Demonstrate proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures.

Participate in team-based activities on a routine basis.

Participate in a QI, QA, QC activities with documented outcomes.

Monitor mammography section procedures and supply charges to ensure completeness and accuracy.
