About the Opportunity :

JOB PURPOSE :

Develop and maintain weld jigs and fixtures for product development. Construct a variety of close tolerance high precision jigs and fixtures according to manufacturing and engineering standards with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Design and develop jigs and fixtures for production

Build parts from raw materials to finished weldments

Maintain all tools to meet the design requirements of the product

Perform set up and operation of machinery

Perform fitting adjustments on jigs and fixtures.

Complete required paperwork in accurate and timely manner

Maintain equipment in department according to scheduled guidelines

Report supply needs equipment breakdowns shortages poor quality materials / products and accidents / injuries to supervisor

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

Maintain a neat and clean work area

Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS :

High school or equivalent secondary education preferred. Technical school a plus.

2 years of machine shop experience including Weld.

Background in welding and metal fabrication

Working knowledge of fabrication techniques tools materials and equipment

Working knowledge of advanced shop math

Able to use precision measuring instruments

Comprehend jig design

Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

Able to work overtime as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Lift up to 50lbs

Walk stand bend twist / turn reach and grasp tools as necessary

Your base wage will be between $26.00 - $34.50 per hour and includes eligibility for overtime. The actual wage offer will be based on qualifications experience location and other relevant factors. Youll have the opportunity to participate in the Production Bonus Plan which provides opportunities to earn additional compensation based on performance metrics. Bonus eligibility is subject to meeting certain production goals and other criteria as position is eligible for a $2.00 per hour shift differential for hours worked on 2nd shift in addition to the base hourly wage.
