Working with toddlers is an exciting and rewarding role in early childhood education. At this stage, children are curious explorers—full of energy, determination, and wonder. As an Energetic Explorer's teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to:

Duties

As an Energetic Explorer’s Teacher, you will:

• Provide responsive, individualized care to toddlers (12 months – 24 months).
• Plan developmentally appropriate, individual and group activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth.
• Support our philosophy by learning how to implement a play-based, loose parts approach
• Create a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where every child feels secure and thrives.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
• Partner with families to ensure continuity of care and celebrate developmental milestones.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

Our early care educators are expected to be

• dependable and able to maintain a consistent schedule.
• committed to professional growth, best practices and play-based learning.
• warm, nurturing, and patient.
• able to work collaboratively with a team of educators and communicate effectively with families.
• excited to participate in the growth and development of the early learners they encounter every day.
• able to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
• able to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.

Nice To Haves

But Not Required

• Previous experience working with infants in a childcare, preschool, or nanny setting.
• CDA (Infant/Toddler) or progress toward certification preferred; willingness to pursue professional development required.
