• Responsibilities

Most shifts are 2 : 30pm-10 : 30pm and every other weekend.

• Provide home care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a group living environment
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and independence
• Support individuals in maintaining their rights and dignity
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs and preferences
• Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Accompany individuals to appointments, outings, and social activities
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor
• Qualifications
• Highschool diploma / GED
• Must be able to clear a criminal background study.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care principles will be a key piece of training you will receive and utilize.
• Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices if necessary, depending on the assigned location.
• First aid and CPR certification preferred but we will train.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively with individuals, families, and a multidisciplinary team a must.
• Basic skills with using a computer will be required, but we will teach a motivated learner.
