Housekeeper/Cleaner

We are seeking a people-focused Housekeeper/Cleaner for our 55 and older, active adult community - Affinity at Covington. As the Cleaner, you will be responsible for general housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness of the community.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a community culture focused on enhancing our residents' way of life while providing excellent customer service and a supportive home environment.
- Building strong rapport with residents of the community.
- Cleaning offices, bathrooms, amenity spaces, and common areas daily.
- Cleaning office spaces on a regular schedule set by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Using the apartment cleaning checklist, cleaning vacant apartment homes after each move out.
- Cleaning and organizing the pool house. Tasks include straightening of the chairs on the pool deck, cleaning of the pool house public bathrooms (to include showers), and vacuuming and dusting of the amenity spaces attached to the pool house building.
- Removing used towels in the pool area and replacing them with freshly laundered towels daily.
- Maintaining all cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Assisting in removing debris from outside public spaces, amenity spaces, and common areas, and emptying public trash cans.
- Cleaning elevator cab, lobby, and door tracks as regularly scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Complying with all company policies/procedures and Fair Housing laws.
Other duties may include performing additional tasks as needed to meet the needs of the organization.
What we are seeking:
- A customer service focused Cleaner who can effectively work with the site team to carry out the daily housekeeping needs of the community while building rapport with residents.
- Must be a team player who takes a "we over me" approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
- Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- Janitorial experience in hotel or residential management is strongly preferred.
- Computer skills to include email, Microsoft Office Suite, ability to navigate web-based trainings, and other various computer programs.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
- Reliable means of transportation.
Compensation and benefits include:
Competitive pay, $21-$23 per hour (based on experience). Quarterly bonus incentive. Annual performance review with potential merit increase.
