Tax Preparer

Description

The Tax Preparer is responsible for preparing and filing accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses. This role ensures compliance with current tax laws and regulations while maximizing allowable deductions and credits. The Tax Preparer works closely with clients to gather financial information, answer tax-related questions, and provide guidance to support effective tax planning and minimize liabilities.

Requirements

• Collect and review financial documents and client information to prepare accurate tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
• Identify eligible deductions, credits, and adjustments to optimize tax outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws, changes, and IRS regulations.
• Communicate with clients to clarify financial details and explain tax implications.
• Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and timely filing.
• Support clients with tax planning strategies to minimize future liabilities.
• Safeguard sensitive client information and ensure confidentiality of financial records.
