Position Overview :

The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician will ensure process and product quality standards are being achieved through chemical and physical analytical techniques. This is a rare opportunity to have an early role in implementing manufacturing test methods for a greenfield advanced manufacturing facility that is helping to define the future of American manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technician with experience in a complex 24 / 7 industrial operation. The position will report to a QA / QC Manager.

Position Responsibilities :

• Operate laboratory analytical equipment including some combination of ICP, LECO, XRF, XRD, SEM, optical microscopes, dimensional analysis and magnetometry.
• Review and record analytical results in LIMS / database.
• Support testing method development, assessment, validation, and roll-out under guidance of the Technology team.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Assist in tracking and maintaining the chemical inventory.
• Perform lab housekeeping and routine inspections.
• Perform routine statistical analysis (SQC) on quality data.
• Participate in Gage R&R and other measurement system assessments.
• Actively participate in Kaizen events, safety programs, and adhere to all appropriate laboratory safety and operations procedures.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analysis procedures and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
