Announcement
In June 2025, LYB announced entering into an agreement and exclusive negotiations for the sale of four olefins & polyolefins sites and the associated business in Europe. The sites to be sold are located in Berre (France), Münchsmünster (Germany), Carrington (UK), and Tarragona (Spain). The sites together represent a scaled olefins and polyolefins platform strategically located in proximity to a longstanding customer base and with access and connectivity to key infrastructure.
Closing of the proposed transaction is currently expected in the first half of 2026. From the start, the new company will be a scaled leader in European Olefins & Polyolefins. Powered by strategically located assets, a diverse product portfolio, and operational excellence, it aims to transform the business, fostering an agile, entrepreneurial culture where fast decision-making and hands-on collaboration drive transformation and growth.

This is the role
The Country Controller for Germany is responsible for the financial governance of the German legal entity, including local statutory accounting, IFRS reporting, internal controls, tax coordination, regulatory compliance, and audit management. This role acts as the local finance lead and primary point of contact for German authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders. You will be based at the Münchsmünster production site and serve as the key finance representative for the German entity.

IFRS Reporting & Consolidation Support
Audit Management
Tax Coordination & Regulatory Compliance
Oversee local tax compliance in coordination with Group Tax and external advisors, including :
Corporate Income Tax (Körperschaftsteuer)
Trade Tax (Gewerbesteuer)
VAT (Umsatzsteuer)
Withholding taxes
Internal Controls, Risk & Compliance
Treasury, Cash & Legal Entity Stewardship
Shared Services Oversight
Stakeholder Engagement
This is who you are
To be successful in this role, you must recognize yourself in the following profile :
You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as extensive experience with SAP R / 3. OnStream knowledge is a plus. Able to work effectively both independently and within a team, implementing administrative improvements with supervisory guidance. Strong organizational skills enable them to manage and prioritize tasks proactively while maintaining precision and attention to detail. Additionally, they demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities, communicating and coordinating confidently in senior management environments.
