Warehouse & Logistics Associate

Position :

Are you ready to take your logistics career to the next level in a dynamic and fast-growing environment? JTI USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate to join our team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn, grow, and make a significant impact on our business operations.

Logistics Operations Management

  • Transportation and Import Coordination : Oversee and manage transportation and import processes for finished goods, ensuring efficient on time delivery.
  • Documentation and Customs : Prepare, control, and manage all necessary documentation for transportation and customs. Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and state authorities to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
  • ERP System Maintenance : Maintain the oneERP system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Support to Warehouse & Logistics Manager

  • Warehouse Operations : Assist in managing JTI and third-party warehouses across the country, ensuring efficient and high-standard operations as per the Warehouse playbook.
  • Operational Excellence : Initiate and deploy improvements, sharing and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Global Initiatives : Support global projects and community collaboration.
  • . Specific Duties
  • Transportation Organization : Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, optimize loading factors, and coordinate with global logistics teams.
  • Documentation Preparation and Reporting : Create and manage documentation for customs, provide necessary documentation to forwarders, and maintain compliance with state authorities.
  • Delivery Monitoring : Manage delivery schedules, coordinate with planning teams, and ensure timely information flow to all parties.
  • Payment Coordination : Work with the finance department to manage custom tax payments.
  • Warehousing Support : Assist in warehousing tasks, assess and implement best practices, and support automation solutions to enhance efficiency.

    • Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Safety Practices : Understand and follow health and safety regulations, participate in training, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Incident Reporting : Report any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and behaviors to supervisors.

    • Additional Projects

  • Accept and complete other projects as defined and agreed with the line manager.

    • Within 6 months you will :

  • Gain extensive knowledge of key aspects of the business.
  • Become an expert in logistics and warehousing coordination.
  • Establish yourself as a key player in the team, contributing to the success of our operations.

    • Requirements :

  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years in logistics operations with continuous improvement projects or equivalent experience. Customer service and / or warehousing experience is advantageous.
  • Education : University (Preferably : Engineering / Supply chain / Logistics)
  • Knowledge : Core knowledge of warehouse and logistics management operations including inbound, storage strategies, transport coordination, and documentation.
  • Skills : Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and WMS. Fluent in English.
