Job Description :
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking a professional level Cloud Platform Systems Administrator interested in applying their technical expertise to fast-paced, customer-focused production support and development environments as part of the Infrastructure & Communication Technology team, a unit within UFIT. These environments run in a LEED certified data center housing several thousand servers and petabytes of storage.
Employment with UFIT provides an excellent opportunity to work with other employees who are dedicated and focused on understanding and interpreting the technological needs of the University of Florida's innovative and inspirational community.
As part of the Infrastructure & Communications Technology (ICT) unit, you will lead medium to large-sized projects and direct teams responsible for maintenance, installation, configuration, and deployment of advanced hardware and software systems. You and your team will participate in managing UF Data Centers and delivering hosted server, storage, virtualization, database, email or related systems. These systems connect University of Florida campuses and research sites to the world via high-speed data, video, WI-FI, telecommunications, and VoIP services.
This role provides opportunities to assist in architecting and designing advanced system solutions, defining enterprise standards, recommending new initiatives, and helping UFIT align with industry trends. You'll also collaborate with managers and technical peers and serve as a vital mentor to junior colleagues.

Expected Salary :
$98,000 - $100,000; commensurate based on education and experience.
