Job Title : Water Resources Engineer (Hydraulic Modeling)

Location : Offices throughout the Mid-Atlantic (hybrid / remote possibility for established engineers)

Job Type : Full-Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Resources Engineer with expertise in hydraulic modeling to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and management of water resource projects, ensuring the efficient and sustainable use of water resources. They primarily serve the mid-Atlantic region from six strategically located offices. PE (Professional Engineering License) or EIT are highly preferred

Key Responsibilities :

• Hydraulic and Hydrological Modeling : Develop and utilize sophisticated hydraulic models to simulate and analyze water flow in rivers, streams, and other water bodies. Conduct hydrologic analyses to support water resource planning and management.
• Flood Risk Assessment : Perform flood risk assessments and design flood defense systems to mitigate the impact of flooding on communities and infrastructure.
• Water Supply and Treatment Systems : Design and oversee the construction of water supply and treatment systems, ensuring safe and reliable water resources for communities.
• Stormwater Management : Develop and implement effective stormwater management solutions, including the design of stormwater drainage systems and flood control facilities.
• Data Analysis and Interpretation : Analyze and interpret data from field investigations, lab tests, and computer models to inform project design and decision-making.
• Technical Reporting : Prepare detailed technical reports, plans, and specifications for water-related infrastructure projects. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaboration : Work closely with government agencies, environmental scientists, and stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable water resource solutions. Participate in meetings and presentations to communicate project status and findings.
