Flatbed Truck Driver

Local Class A Flatbed CDL Driver | Durham, NC | $25/Hr

We're hiring an experienced Class A CDL driver with flatbed or lowboy expertise for a local position in Durham, NC. This demanding role requires a versatile CDL driver to be comfortable with both driving and warehouse duties. Home Daily!

CDL Driver Compensation & Hours:

• Pay: $25.00/hour
• Average Weekly Minimum: $1,000.00
• Overtime: Paid after 40 hours
• Average Hours: 45+ per week
• Schedule: Monday Friday (Occasional weekends); 5:00 AM start (1011hour days).

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

• Routes: Local shuttles between Durham and Greensboro. CDL driver Home Daily!
• Equipment: Class A tractor (must operate MANUAL transmission) pulling flatbed, lowboy, or dry van trailers. CDL driver may also operate a 26' box truck.
• Freight: Generators, electrical parts & supplies. Avg. 3-5 stops per day.
• Touch Freight: Required. Includes strapping/unstrapping, live load/unload, and use of a pallet jack.
• Warehouse: The CDL driver must assist in the warehouse when not driving (e.g., shrink wrapping, spotting trailers, delivery).

CDL Driver Requirements:

• At least 12 months verifiable CDL Delivery experience in past 3 years.
• Experience: Flatbed and/or Lowboy experience needed by CDL driver.
• Skills: Manual transmission proficiency is REQUIRED. Strong backing skills preferred.
• Valid license and Med Card
• Acceptable MVR and Accident History
• Good work history
