Redefine Healthcare is looking for a dedicated, per diem Circulating / Procedure Room Registered Nurse - with vascular specialty to join our expanding team of healthcare professionals in our Princeton and Edison NJ offices. A procedure nurse is a RN that will assist the Vascular - Interventional Radiologist during minimally invasive procedures. Their primary responsibility is ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure, from the pre-procedure assessment and preparation to post procedure care and monitoring. We are looking for candidates that are motivated, compassionate, and are looking to advance their career in a community that is always growing. This position will start per diem and expand as our practice grows this division.

Circulating - Procedure Room Nurse (RN) - (Pre, Intra, Post) Per Diem

Rate : $45-50 an hour depending on specialty experience

Hours : 8-10hrs / shift, one day a week, twice monthly. More hours available as volume builds

Job Type – Per Diem

Registered Nurse Duties

• Provides patient care before, during and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring functionality and sterility
• Performs patient charting in Athena EMR related to procedure events
• Performs all pre-operative assessments on procedural patients including IV insertions, vitals, medication, and medical history recording and post-procedure discharge
• Monitors patients pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively including but not limited to collaborating with the procedure team, anesthesia
• Greets family members and keeps them up to date on patient status.
• Gives discharge instructions to patients and family members.
• Participates in primary care of procedural patterns as needed and assure clinical area to verify patient needs are met.
• Respects patient right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Supervises care of the procedure suite to ensure cleanliness, sterility, and operational ability at all times.
• Oversee staff, patients, and vendor traffic to help prevent infection.
