Location: Naperville, IL 60563

Rate: $39/hr
Completion Bonus Available : $ 500

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our hospice care team for per diem night shifts. As a Night Shift Hospice Care RN, you will play a crucial role in providing comfort and support to patients and their families during the night time hours. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients during the night shift.

Assess and monitor patients' conditions, symptoms, and vital signs.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.

Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Document patient care and progress accurately and timely.

Communicate effectively with other team members, physicians, and external stakeholders.

Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain professional competence.

Qualifications:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.

Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care.

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and families.

Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
