Supervisor, Source Inspection

This is a highly quality-centric position and requires deep technical understanding of Manufacturing processes and practical experience with QA / QC practices. The focus of the Supervisor includes managing a remote team of quality inspectors, their inspection scheduling, supplier approval for inspections, and support development to address quality gaps. An ideal candidate would be a go getter personality with expertise in Quality processes and a strong desire to take on new challenges in unfamiliar areas to help enable our mission to Mars.

Responsibilities :

• Owns program to evaluate conformity of purchased parts to purchase order requirements
• Assists in developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions
• Develops and implements changes in working conditions and procedures
• Spends ~25% of time with suppliers to understand the work environment
• Analyzes and resolves work problems
• Interfaces with Procurement, SCE team, Production and other cross-functional teams
• Interfaces with suppliers and internal SpaceX stakeholders
• Leads cross-functional discussions on inspection operations
• Supports, maintains, and effectively communicates the program metrics
• Performs supervisor duties
• Balances business priorities to schedule remotely based source inspection resources effectively
• Works with leadership, source inspectors, and human resources to resolve issues

Compensation and Benefits :

Pay range : Supervisor : $105,000.00 - $135,000.00 / per year

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations : job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
