Medical Director – Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital, Park Slope, Brooklyn

Annual Salary : $185,000 – $250,000 (DOE) + Bonuses + Ownership Opportunity

We are offering a great referral bonus for Medical Directors hired at select NY Metro Hospitals.

Referral Bonus

  • Up to $25k for Internal referrals
  • Up to $10k for External referrals

Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital is seeking a motivated, collaborative, and experienced Medical Director to lead our thriving, nine-doctor companion animal practice in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn. What You'll Do as Medical Director

You’ll continue seeing patients and practicing medicine while providing critical medical leadership for the hospital. This includes :

  • Guiding and mentoring veterinarians and technicians
  • Developing and refining medical protocols
  • Partnering with the Practice Manager to drive hospital growth and efficiency
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and support
  • Leading with empathy and integrity, while championing high standards of care

  • Experienced well-trained Licensed Technicians on staff, and the ability to manage complex cases
  • Grooming services and boarded surgeon & cardiologist available by appointment
  • Modern cloud-based PIMS with integrated labs and imaging

    • About You

  • DVM (or equivalent) with an active New York State license
  • 5+ years of veterinary experience
  • Strong communicator and collaborative leader
  • Passionate about mentorship, protocol development, and medical excellence
  • Able to coach, delegate, and support a high-performing team
  • Organized, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
