As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will play a vital role in a collaborative team dedicated to providing outstanding care to patients with renal failure. You will work under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to ensure the best possible treatment experience for each patient.
Your role includes :
- Direct Patient Care : Engage closely with patients to deliver safe, high-quality dialysis treatments. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs pre and post-treatment, initiating and monitoring the dialysis process, terminating treatment, and collecting blood samples as ordered by physicians.
- Technical Responsibilities : Uphold the highest standards of quality by preparing and cleaning dialysis machines, performing safety checks, and meticulously documenting results to ensure compliance with all protocols and regulations.
- Commitment to Safety and Quality : Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, utilizing personal protective equipment as needed. Participate actively in staff meetings and educational opportunities to stay updated on best practices and company policies.
The position will be based at our South Tampa Clinic, located at 1731 W Lumsden Rd, Brandon, FL 33511.
We’re looking for individuals who :
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.Are passionate about healthcare and helping patients.Have prior experience in healthcare roles such as dialysis, phlebotomy, or CNA (preferred).Are comfortable handling chemicals according to safety protocols.Can distinguish all primary colors.Additional requirements include :
Successful completion of the USRC training program within 8 weeks of hire, demonstrating competency in hemodialysis practices.CPR certification obtained within 90 days of hire, or as mandated by state regulations.Obtaining a Patient Care Technician certification within 18 months of hire through an accredited program, maintaining active status thereafter.Are you ready to make an impact?
