Plant Controller - Manufacturing Position Overview

The Plant Controller will oversee the financial operations of the Woodridge, IL manufacturing facility, serving as a key business partner to the operations team. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, product costing, inventory management, fixed assets, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing finance experience, advanced analytical skills, and hands-on expertise with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Business Central. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational decision-making and driving financial performance across the plant.

Key Responsibilities Plant Performance Monitoring

• Direct the reporting and analysis of plant financial performance, ensuring accurate inventory records and timely monthly results.
• Monitor plant and production line performance, ensuring appropriate leading and lagging metrics are in place.
• Provide guidance to plant leadership on cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Investigate and explain major manufacturing variances, delivering actionable insights to management.
• Provide ad hoc financial and operational analysis to support timely decision-making aligned with plant goals.
• Support business development initiatives, including margin improvement analysis.
• Ensure adherence to safety, security, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform additional duties as assigned and follow through on requests promptly.
