Job Details :

Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM

Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Patient ratio of 1 : 2 for both days and nights

2 years of experience required

Community hospital experience required

Specific Cardiac ICU experience required

Unit accepts first time travelers

Required certifications : ACLS and BLS

Blue scrubs required

Self-scheduling system

Skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, pulmonary artery line / Swan Ganz monitoring, central line care / management, starting IVs, care of ventilated patients, and ventilator management

Work with adult patient population

Use Accudose medication system and Cerner documentation system

Communication through SBAR system

Daily census of 18 patients in 23-room unit

Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
