Project Controller

Project Controller System One is partnering with a client seeking a Project Controller who will serve as the financial business partner to Project Managers by providing financial oversight, cost control, and performance analysis for projects across the organization. This position ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget by maintaining accurate financial records, forecasting project costs, and identifying financial risks and opportunities. This role requires strong experience in project accounting, Percentage-of-Completion (POC) revenue recognition, and CAPEX management under IFRS. Key Responsibilities Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and actual performance to ensure financial accuracy and accountability. Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including variance and cost-to-complete analysis. Develop ROI models and monitor CAPEX projects and Construction in Progress (CIP) to ensure timely capitalization. Partner with project managers to align financial results with project objectives. Track and report on key KPIs, project milestones, and financial risks. Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, and accounting standards. Support internal and external audits related to project and regional financials. Drive continuous improvement in project controlling processes and reporting accuracy. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master’s or CPA / CMA / PMP preferred). 3-5 years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or project accounting, preferably in a publicly traded or SOX-compliant organization. Proficiency with SAP or similar financial systems and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
