Summary : The Shipping a Receiving role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods into and out of the organization. This position is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming shipments, as well as preparing and dispatching outgoing orders accurately and on time. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Accept deliveries and unload them from trucks, often involving physical labor like bending and lifting
- Check incoming goods for accuracy against purchase orders and invoices. Inspect for any damage or discrepancies and report issues to the relevant parties.
- Maintain accurate records of received items, count inventory, and use computer software to track shipments and stock levels.
- Store received items in the correct locations within a warehouse, store, or stockroom, ensuring proper rotation and organization.
- Accurately count finished products to determine if product orders are complete
- Maintain a clean & safe work area at all times, as well as maintain all Food Plant GMP's
- Everyone has responsibility to support and follow our Food Safety and Food Defense programs.
- Any other associated tasks as seen necessary by supervisory personnel.
