Airswift is looking for an
Engineer II to work with one of our major Offshore Wind clients, in a 1-year contract with working location in Richmond, VA.
Project Overview This position will support an individual package (i.e., wind turbines, foundations, offshore substations, or transportation and installation). The contractor will work with the project manager, owner’s engineer, and package supplier to manage RFIs and document reviews.
Required Skills - Ability to manage the exchange of documents through review and submission processes; collection, consolidation, and tracking of SME comments during document reviews.
- Ability to manage the RFI/Technical query process for project packages.
- Ability to lead technical meetings, collect meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational skills: ability to track information exchanges and action items.
- Comfortable facilitating technical conversations.
Preferred Years of Experience - Candidate possesses a 4-year Engineering degree (not Engineering Technology) from an ABET-accredited Engineering program.
- Candidate holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license, or currently holds their E.I.T. certification.
- Large construction project experience is preferred.
Education - Engineering degree (marine engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering preferred but not required).
