Position : Agronomist / Customer Success - AgriTech
Location : Bakersfield to Stockton
Recruiting a Senior Account Manager for a rapidly growing ag-tech company specializing in optimizing irrigation, enhancing orchard performance, and increasing yields for fruit and nut growers through real-time data and actionable insights.
Individual should have a solid background in Agronomy and Irrigation, with experience working with growers in the Tree and Vineyard sectors.
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for building and managing customer relationships nationwide, with a focus on California's Central Valley.
This role involves combining agronomic expertise, customer success, and commercial responsibilities to drive adoption, retention, and expansion of the company's solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for assigned U.S. customer accounts.
Lead customer onboarding, training, and seasonal planning activities.
Provide irrigation and agronomic guidance based on sensor data and analytics.
Support field deployments and troubleshoot hardware or data issues when necessary.
Drive customer retention and identify opportunities for upselling and expansion.
Collaborate with Sales on account growth and renewal strategies.
Train and support distribution partners through field visits and follow-ups.
Share customer feedback and market insights with Product, R&D, and leadership teams.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Agriculture, or relevant field.
5+ years of experience in agriculture.
Previous work experience as an Agronomist.
Experience with ag-tech and irrigation vendors.
Hands-on experience with California fruit / nut crops or vineyards.
Strong credibility with growers, irrigation managers, and partners.
Commercial mindset and ability to discuss value, renewals, and growth.
Ability to work independently in a field-based role.
Comfortable with technology, sensors, and data-driven decision-making tools.
