Hematology / Oncology Physician Job Details

Assignment Type : Locum tenens (contract / travel physician job)

Location : Mansfield, Ohio 44903 (Ohio healthcare jobs)

Practice Setting : Medical Oncology Clinic & Inpatient Consults

Contract Duration : 6 months (May 4, 2026 – November 2, 2026)

Night Shift Hours : Night 5x8-Hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) shifts per week

Schedule : Night 5x8-Hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 00) shifts per week; includes inpatient consults, infusion coverage, weekday call, outpatient clinic, and 1 weekend / month of on-call coverage (in-person or phone call)

Patient Volume : Average 16 adult patients per day (ages 18+)

EMR System : Epic

Estimated Weekly Pay : $16,330 - $17,500

Hematology / Oncology Physician Qualifications

Board Certification in Hematology / Oncology (preferred for physician jobs)

Active Ohio physician license and DEA required

Experience with Epic EMR (electronic medical records)

Clinic and inpatient rounding experience in oncology or hematology

Minimum 1 year of experience in Hematology / Oncology required

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care for adult patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings

Perform inpatient consults and infusion coverage using phone and Epic inbasket

Participate in weekday call and provide outpatient clinic coverage

Provide on-call coverage one weekend per month (in-person or phone as assigned)

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants (MAs), and office specialists

Accurately document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
