Associate Director, Project Management at DEPT®

We are looking for an Associate Director of Project Management to oversee one of our major client accounts, driving creative, operational, and client‑facing work from kickoff to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Project and Program Management
- Lead complex creative campaigns, brand content, and integrated marketing programs from scoping through execution.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resourcing plans in collaboration with creative, strategy, and account teams.
- Manage end‑to‑end execution, ensuring work is delivered on time, on brief, and within budget.
- Identify risks early, communicate trade‑offs, and elevate challenges with a solution‑oriented mindset.
- Mentor project managers, supporting their growth through coaching on planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Track project financials (estimates, actuals, ETC, EAC) and support reporting and forecasting accuracy.
Localized Creative Production & Workflow Management
Manage creative workflows across regional and global markets to meet brand standards and cultural nuances.Coordinate with creative leadership and regional stakeholders to align briefs, feedback cycles, and approval processes.Maintain visibility into deliverable trackers, asset libraries, and production schedules.Collaborate with external vendors, translators, and local market teams for consistent cross‑language output.Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
Streamline workflows, documentation, and resourcing models to drive creative delivery efficiencies.Partner with leadership on staffing, vendor onboarding, monthly billing, and reporting.Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on scope and budget governance.Lead internal syncs to promote process adoption and shared accountability.Maintain and optimize project management tools such as Asana, Workfront, Harvest, etc.Client & Cross‑Functional Partnership
Serve as the connective tissue between creative, account, and operations teams, ensuring seamless communication.Act as an on‑site client partner during sprints, workshops, and key creative reviews.Communicate proactively across Slack, email, and meetings to keep stakeholders aligned.Build trusted client relationships through transparency, accountability, and follow‑through.Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in creative project or program management within an agency or in‑house environment.Proven track record leading integrated creative programs from concept to delivery.Strong understanding of creative workflows, brand systems, and cross‑market adaptation.Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, track performance, and collaborate with finance and operations teams.Excellent client‑facing communication and presentation skills.Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple priorities.Proactive, adaptable mindset with enthusiasm for process improvement and collaboration.Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Asana, Workfront, time‑tracking software, and Slack.Key Traits

This is a remote‑first role with travel to client or team locations up to 50% of the time, typically within the United States. Candidates aligned with Pacific Time and able to maintain West Coast working hours are preferred.
