This posting is for multiple openings of a Phlebotomist at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital in Spokane, WA. We offer day, evening, and / or variable shifts as well as on-call and full-time opportunities.

Under the general direction of the Laboratory Director, the Phlebotomist collects and processes laboratory specimens from all areas of the hospital including, but not limited to the Emergency Department, Main Tower, West Tower, East Tower and Outpatient areas, including blood samples, skin scrapings, and POCT testing and non-blood specimens. Maintains laboratory supplies by ordering, receiving and stocking them. Answers the telephone and relays messages. Performs general laboratory duties including general cleaning, instrument maintenance, copying, faxing and other related duties.

Required qualifications :

• H.S. Diploma or GED or Documentation of higher education.
• Coursework / Training : Must have completed Medical Assistant with phlebotomy or Phlebotomy course.
• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification.
• Computer experience.
• Laboratory or related science experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby / on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
