Job Title : Sterile Processing Service Technician (Medical Supply Technician)

Employment Type : Contract up to 3 years

Position Summary : We are seeking highly qualified Sterile Processing Service Technicians to join our team on a contract basis for a Federal Facilty. The ideal candidates will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, decontamination, and distribution of medical instruments and supplies, supporting the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities :

• Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of reusable medical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Inspect and test equipment and instruments for functionality and safety before use.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Assemble and organize surgical instrument trays and sets according to specific instructions and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring adequate stock and timely replenishment.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines and safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical staff to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments and supplies.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with industry best practices and standards.

Qualification Requirements : Contracted Sterile Processing Services Technician staff must meet one (1) or more of the following requirements :

Biological testing of sterilization efficacy utilizing commercially available incubated biological test vials.
