Description : Position : Material Handler / Lift Truck Operator Pay : $20.00 Shift : 2nd 3 : 30PM to Midnight Location : Chicago, IL Responsible for providing support to Manufacturing, Shipping and Receiving and the Warehousing Operation, in the areas of, but not limited to material movement. The Material Handler delivers goods and materials to the correct destinations and is required to have strength and stamina to cope with physical functions. Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment, including electric / propane powered fork lift trucks, hand trucks. Delivery of material directly to the Production, Shipping and Receiving and the Warehouse. Move product onto and off trucks and / or vans Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting Ensure the cleanliness and proper stocking of inventory in all work areas, including Manufacturing, Shipping and Receiving and the Warehouse. Maintain quality in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory and report it to your supervisor. Ensure proper packing, labeling and tagging of the inventory in the warehouse. Ability to add and subtract small, medium or large numbers and to multiply and divide. Must be able to read a decimal chart and simple / complex drawings to verify product identification and requirements.
