Bridges Healthcare, Inc. has an immediate opening for a part-time APRN, to provide psychiatric evaluation and psychotropic management services for adults. Work is both in-person and virtual.
$85.00 per hour
19 hours per week required, non-benefited
Hours may be flexible Monday through Thursday between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Fridays 8:00 AM – 5:00 pm.
Position Summary:
Provide psychiatric evaluation and mediation management for adults enrolled in outpatient treatment at Bridges Healthcare.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric initial evaluations.
- Manage psychotropic prescribing for both psychiatric and substance use disorders, including buprenorphine.
- Coordinate with psychotherapists regarding diagnostic formulations and treatment planning.
- Respond to patient/family communications such as refill requests, questions about medications, etc. in a timely manner.
- Participate in clinical team meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care and related communications.
- Perform any other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctorate level degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Certification as either clinical nurse specialist (CNS) or nurse practitioner (NP) by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
- Connecticut licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).
- Drug Enforcement Agency license (DEA) and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration (CSR).
- Knowledge of diagnosing and treating psychiatric illnesses and substance use disorders in adults.
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation of all patient care and display basic computer literacy.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize in times of competing demands.
- Desire for continuous learning and self-development.
